| This crucifixion painting is an oil painting on canvas 20inches by 24 inches. It is one of my early works completed in June 1962. It is carried out in heavy impasto, and is inspired by a wooden cross on Caldy Island in Pembrokeshire which has a Cistercian Monastery. I saw this when visiting the Island in 1962. |
