This painting is based on Pink Nude by Matisse, which used the model as a point of departure, to be left behind, to create a more absract image. This painting takes this a stage further, by fragmenting the original, to disassociate it, and produce a more abstract painting. It is an oil painting on canvas 24 inches by 32 inches. Completed August 2004.
